Distribution and Support Services sells surplus personal
property either through public auctions or sealed bids. Public
auctions are held to sell surplus state vehicles and other
surplus property at New Jersey State Distribution and Support

The Office of General Services administers the disposal of this
State property. It may be offered in a public auction or through
sealed bids.
To process all surplus items as prescribed by statute in a
manner that provides our customers with quality service while
achieving maximum financial benefit for all Nebraska taxpayers
All surplus generated by state government, excluding real
estate, is processed through the State Surplus Property
Program. When possible, this material is displayed in our
central Lansing facility for redistribution within state
government. Surplus which is not reused is sold through public
auction or sealed bid.
The state receives parcels of land due to the non-payment of
property taxes, thousands of parcels are for sale each year
Surplus Services is the state's redistribution center for state
and federal surplus property. It redistributes good usable state
and federal surplus property to its eligible donees, which
include state government, political subdivisions, non-profit
health and educational activities, programs for low income,
needy and homeless persons, and service educational
organizations. It also operates a "garage sale" and auction
program (live and online) which serves the public.
